Theatre performed by the inhabitants and medieval atmosphere in the Jewish quarter.

The play is “The Hervás convert”, comedy written by a Jewish author with the Golden Century (XIV) style, but without the censorship of those ones.

450 residents take part to give the place a Jewish quarter atmosphere and remember the mutual tolerance and familiar bonds that joined the inhabitants of Hervás with the Jewish ones.

It’s a popular fiesta where the residents make the visitors travel to the past with Sephardi songs, sword duels, blind men and “lazarillos” (their guides).

Plasencia

Greater Tuesday Festival (August the 5th)- Regional Fiesta of Interest to Tourists

It’s celebrated on the first Tuesday. This fiesta is a custom in Plasencia from the medieval age and it was called Tuesday for Tourists.

Along the day the inhabitants exhibit a great variety of farming products and crafts in the Main Square, simulating a medieval market.

Typical dances and music from the region come with the visitors and shopkeepers during the morning hours.

Everyone who visits the Plasencia Main Square is presented with wine.

This fiesta is completed with other typical activities from the medieval age. Thus, along the day, drummer contests are celebrated apart from verse and prose ones...

Cáceres

Tench day Festival (August the 25th)- Regional Fiesta of Interest to Tourists

It’s a gastronomy festival in which the tench, a typical fish in Extremadura, is tasted.

The tench festival, once consolidated and institutionalized, evolved to become a unifying event for the eight villages that make part of the Tajo-Salor Commonwealth, where many cultural native expressions are shown, such as fishing and gastronomy contests, crafts shows, round table and exhibitions relating to the tench, concerts, etc, that complement a gastronomic day with a ludic and cultural nature in which the visitor can enjoy the stands colours and joy, in a festive atmosphere, where the exquisite delicacy that the tench is, is cooked in boiling oil coppers.
